DATE PREPARED: 8 Dec 92.
PURPOSE: To present a new and proven paradigm from which to develop productive organizations.
Situation:
1. Would a management approach that enabled responsible persons to have awareness of their area of responsibility and the dynamic situations within and around it, much like a command and control system, be worth examining?
2. Would the benefit gained from a management approach that integrates and simplifies:
Organizational Development (Human/Business Change Management),
Total Quality Management (Continuous Quality Improvement),
Corporate Information Management (Business Reengineering),
IDEF (Business Process Improvement),
Customer Relations,
Functional Management,
Corporate Directory/Locator service, and
Requirement Life Cycle Management efforts,
with a corresponding reduction in administrative and operational overhead costs, and a corresponding synergistic increase in productivity, justify the cost of implementation?
3. Would improvements in organization quality achieved with a management approach that enabled every member of an organization to understand their role and to see its importance within the larger framework of the organization mission, thus giving them partial ownership in organization performance and the capability to achieve their higher individual potential, draw out the required member commitment to change?
If the answer to any of these is yes, the presentation will answer how this can be done in the near term.
