The DEMIS then would serve as the management environment for multiple levels of the enterprise, with the DEMIS content being capable of being fully or partially shared upward, downward, laterally, and diagonally with other organization. The DEMIS would represent the Enterprise as an object, and thus allow the Enterprise to manage not only its internal context, but also its context as an object within a larger environment.
