10. DEM Stewardship


The biggest obstacles to implementing a DEMIS are not technical, but cultural.

The enterprise must be willing to appoint stewards for its information (object classes/subclasses) and hold them increasingly more accountable for accuracy and timeliness of data.

No one wants to be accountable if there is no tool in place to make that accountability manageable.

The DEMIS provides the tool to manage accountability, while its increasingly more detailed refinements also provide information to ascertain corporate, team, office, and individual performance.

Once the actions shown here are accomplished, the DEMIS is operational and begins to grow in its capability and capacity.
