An object and its various relationships to other objects is illustrated here. Note the relationships will generally be used in current time to categorize an object, to describe it in terms of its containers or components, to describe other objects which are created from it; and to track its history and plan its future.
Note that this model illustrates both decomposition (descendant and component objects) and distribution (parent and container objects) in the past, present, and future.
This model thus represents what I call the “context” of an object.
